In 2019, Xin Point increased its electroplating capacity in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico, and Changzhou, China, respectively, proactively preparing capacity for future development. Both new factories began mass production in 2020.
Starting in 2017, Xin Point invested in a new factory in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico, aiming to efficiently and quickly serve North American customers while mitigating the uncertainties of the US-China trade war. This factory quickly gained support from numerous North American customers.
The Mexico factory covers approximately 50,000 square meters, with the first phase covering 38,000 square meters. The first electroplating production line and the supporting injection molding workshop began trial production in October 2019 and began supplying small batches in 2020. The current electroplating capacity is approximately 700,000 square meters/year. The factory also has an additional 42,000 square meters of reserved land.
In 2019, Xin Point also added a new factory in Changzhou, China, an hour's drive from the Wuxi production base. The new Changzhou factory has a construction area of approximately 11,000 square meters. A new electroplating line is currently under construction, with a capacity of approximately 700,000 square meters/year. The new wastewater discharge permit has been obtained, and trial production began in August 2019, with official mass production starting in 2020.
